With a father in real estate and a mother who rearranged the family home on a weekly basis, you could say company president Dolly DeWald was raised to become a home stager. “We spent Sunday afternoons visiting open houses my whole childhood,” says Dolly, “that was our entertainment discussing what homes would sell quickly and for how much, depending on what they looked like.”

Later, Dolly took her passion for decorating and real estate and bought, decorated and sold six of her own properties. She also managed several rental properties, always staging them to rent quickly.

It starts with a two hour minimum consultation covering these topics:

• Outer beauty. If a home isn’t enticing from the outside, most buyers will assume the same is true of the inside, and drive right by. D3 advises on how to improve these areas:

  • Lighting
  • Exterior home condition (i.e. paint, sidewalks, driveway)
  • General clean-up and beautification
• Inner beauty. D3 works with clients to bring out the best in every room and addresses the following issues:
  • Clutter-Control: Buyers want room. Chances are that they are moving from a crowded space. Suggestions will be made for removal or storage of clutter.
  • Room Flow and Arrangement: Most of the time there is too much furniture or not enough. D3 arranges furniture and accessories to improve traffic flow and bring out a room’s best assets.
  • Lighting: D3 creates an ambiance that’s suited to each individual room.

  

  • Interior Paint Color: D3 recommends colors that will enhance a room’s beauty, size and appeal to attract buyers.
  • Décor and more: A home that’s tastefully decorated sells quicker than one that isn’t. Maybe it’s a new shower curtain and towels for the guest bathroom, a new comforter to replace a worn or outdated one, or art for that bare wall in the entryway. Service includes shopping, decorating and placement.
